NALIP, Central Library to host Writing and Publishing Workshop

In observation of World Press Freedom Day and Reading Month, the National Association of Librarians and Information Professionals (NALIP) and the public library will be hosting a Writing and Publishing Workshop on Friday, May 3, 2019 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

This workshop encapsulates the basic fundamentals of writing and publishing and will be facilitated by locally renowned writers, journalists, authors, poets and publishers. Topics include, but are not limited to, General Principles of Writing, The Art of Journalism, and The Basic Principles of Publishing.

The group earmarked to participate in this activity includes short story writers, English Language, English Literature and Communication Studies students, budding novelists, poets and playwrights, and persons pursuing careers in journalism, writing, publishing, etc. Both seasoned and novice writers are welcome.
