The NTRC, under the conferred powers of Telecommunications Act of 2000 informs members of the public and other stakeholders, including operators, current and proposed licensees of their continued enforcement drive.
Stakeholders are reminded of the requirements for provision of telecommunications services and operation of telecoms equipment, including usage of spectrum (frequencies) that a valid licence, frequency authorization, registration, and/or approval as prescribed by the telecommunications Act 2000.
In accordance with subject Act and ensuing regulations, authorization MUST be obtained prior to the importation, use or provision of services.

The Commission continues to engage stakeholders in our efforts to regularize their operating status, as it pertains to payment of fees, acquisition of licences and/or frequency authorizations, registration and certification.
