Despite at least two of St Lucia’s latest shootings happening in very public places police say that finding witnesses to the shootings is difficult.
At a press conference on Monday afternoon Assistant Police Commissioneer for Crime Frances Henry called on those who may have witnessed the latest shootings to contact the police.
Henry was specifically referring to the shooting death of Lester Francis aka Bobby of Reduit who was shot and killed near a Bois d’Orange bar on Friday morning and Evencius Francis who was killed on Saturday in Dennery.
“These shootings occurred in places where there were a number of people around,” said ACP Henry adding that maybe persons may have left the scene after the shooting.
Henry added that by all evidence the persons who committed these two crimes did not conceal their indentity.
