Police Report on Homicides in Vieux Fort

Police Press Office – Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of fifty-nine (59) year old Sylvanus Joseph and fifty-two (52) year old Dexter Vitalis both of Westside Bayside, Vieux Fort.

A report of shooting was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station, about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, 10 March, 2023.

Sylvanus Joseph and Dexter Vitalis were transported to the St.Jude Hospital via ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds about their bodies. They were later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of forty-three (43) year old Marcus Charlery of Bruceville, Vieux Fort.

A report of shooting was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station, about 8:30 p.m. on Friday, 10 March, 2023.

Marcus Charlery was transported to the St.Jude Hospital via ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of sixty-six (66) year old, Eustace Roland of Martin Luther Street, Vieux Fort.

A report of a shooting was referred to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux Fort Police Station, about 6:55 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023.

Eustace Roland was transported to the St. Jude Hospital via ambulance with apparent gunshot wounds to his body. He was later pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.

There are presently four individuals assisting with investigations. Post mortem examinations are scheduled for subsequent dates.
