The ever popular Guinness Street Challenge small goals competition takes place at three venues over the weekend.

A power weekend is expected Friday, Saturday and Sunday when the 2012 Guinness Street Challenge small goals football competition continues with preliminaries at three venues.
The action began Friday evening at the Multi-Purpose Courts in Mabouya Valley and continues this evening at the Gros Islet Multi-Purpose Courts, after a match in the Rooster Select Men’s National Basketball Championship.
The final leg of this power weekend will be at the Dennery Multi-Purpose Courts on Sunday evening from 5:00 pm.
After this weekend, another six teams are expected to join the eight who have qualified so far for the Grand Finals of the competition set for the CACABEF in Vieux Fort.
The winner of the Grand Finals in St Lucia pocket $3,000 and get a chance to represent the island at the regional finals of the Guinness Street Challenge small goals football competition in Guyana sometime in June.
This past weekend, seven teams took part in the Guinness Street Challenge which took place at the Kenneth Wriggler King facility at the Gardens.
The teams were placed in two groups with Veterans and Back A Yard emerging on top. In the finals which determined the winner of the Castries leg, Veterans defeated Back A Yard 1-0.
