PRIME MINISTER AWARDS TRICIA CHEONG FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

On Thursday, June 25, 2015, Tricia Cheong was presented with the “Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony Award for Excellence” for her outstanding performance in the 2014 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations.

Cheong was the top performer at the Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary School (VFCSS). In 2014 she wrote eight subjects and received eight Grade Ones, all with “A”s (commonly referred to as distinctions).

Throughout her secondary school life, Tricia maintained an “A” average. In Form Four, she wrote CSEC exams for English Language, English Literature, Mathematics and Principles of Accounts, and attained Grade Ones with “A”s in all but one subject.

At the VFCSS graduation ceremony in 2014, Miss Cheong received Most Outstanding Student Awards in English A, Mathematics, Principles of Business, Principles of Accounts, Office Administration, Spanish and Social Studies. She was also the Most Academic Student of the Class of 2014.

Tricia Cheong is currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (Southern Extension). She is also a student with the Association of Chartered  Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is working towards becoming a Chartered Certified Accountant.

The “Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony Award for Excellence” was introduced to the list of prestigious awards at the Annual Graduation Ceremony of VFCSS in June 2013, as Anthony’s personal contribution to his alma mater.
