A first-grade student of the St. Aloysius R.C. Boys’ Infant School was taken to Victoria Hospital via ambulance on Monday, after suffering a serious fall on the school compound. The exact time of the incident is unclear but Principal Wynnykyj King told the STAR she received a related phone call at 7:30 am.
“I came to the school immediately,” she said. “By the time I got there, the student was being attended to by the kitchen staff and another teacher.”
King said that based on what she’s been told, the infant school student fell over the school’s stair rail onto the floor below. “We’ve been in constant contact with his mother. We know that right now he is at hospital, in stable condition. She’s also informed us the boy has a fractured skull. She is awaiting the results of further tests.”
