One man has been pronounced dead following a shooting in Marc, Bexon. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has identified the victim as 37-year-old Kurt Sylvester of Rose Hill, Castries. Speaking at a press briefing on Friday morning, Superintendent George Nicholas revealed:
“On Thursday November 5 2020 about 9:40 pm, police responded to an incident in Marc, Bexon where upon arrival they discovered 37-year-old Kurt Sylvester of Rose Hill, with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and chest area. He was transported to the OKEU Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.” Nicholas disclosed that at this time, the RSLPF has “no leads or any suspect in this matter but investigations are continuing.” A post mortem examination is scheduled for a later date. This is the 42nd homicide for the year.
Meanwhile, the RSLPF has made breakthroughs in two separate homicides. Superintendent Nicholas disclosed that on October 30, police formally charged Ashton Pelton aka ‘Bobby’ for causing the death of Vigay Roberts on October 25, 2020. Both men are from Augier, Vieux Fort. Pelton is currently on remand at the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF).
On November 3, Babonneau resident Bobby Joseph was charged for causing the death of 36-year-old Misach Dison Emilien, and he is now on remand at BCF. Emilien’s badly decomposed body was discovered in September on a plantation in Garrand.
