Two students of the SALCC lost their lives over the weekend in a vehicular accident.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Board of Governors, Management and staff of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College would like to express sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Zina Joseph and Zhane? Williams, students of the Division of Arts, Science and General Studies who both passed away in the tragic vehicular accident on Saturday April 29th, 2017.

In order to help loved ones to deal with the myriad of painful emotions which they are experiencing, the College has reached out to the families of the deceased to provide support. Additionally, the College counsellors assisted by counsellors from other agencies, are available to all our students and staff, to help them deal with this unexpected tragedy and to provide them with the support needed at this time.

Though this tragedy is felt most strongly and personally by the families of the deceased, the wider Saint Lucian society has also felt the impact. The College therefore invites all Saint Lucians to join in prayer for the families of the deceased as well as the survivors of this tragedy. Together, in prayer and concern for these families and for each other, they and all of us can pull through this painful chapter of our journey.

May God bless us all.
