The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC) staged its first ever Virtual Creole Talent Exposé on Thursday October 28th 2021 via all of its Social Media Platforms and other media partners.
The show was 90 minutes of performances with presentations in music, dance, song, poetry, traditional games, fashion, and cuisine.
The Exposé featured past and present students and staff of the College with a song component which paid tribute to the late Joyce Auguste and the Hewanorra Voices.
This celebration of talent was conceptualized by the newly formed Student Experience Unit of the College with support coming from other departments of SALCC.
Culture and heritage are high on the awareness agenda of the institution and the management firmly believes that these important components of a nation’s identity must be preserved and perpetuated at all levels.
The College is especially pleased that many of the incoming students have volunteered their time, energy and talent towards this venture and intend to make this Expose an annual event.
The event can be viewed on Calabash TV and the SALCC YouTube and Facebook pages and on NTN on Sunday October 31st at 6 p.m.
