Sandals and Beaches win International Awards

Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts continue to dominate the hospitality industry in the Caribbean winning a total of 21 prestigious international awards for the caliber of their products and service in the Caribbean. The awards are from three of the leading adjudicators of the performance of the international travel industry.
On October 2, 2011, The Jamaican based all-inclusive Chain has received nine Quality Assurance Awards from MLT Vacations, one of the USA’s largest Tour operators. The awards recognize Sandals and Beaches resorts in the Caribbean for Outstanding Customer Service and Product Delivery. . . ensuring the best experience possible.
MLT’s Vice President for Product Development, Elizabeth Moriarty, said that Sandals resorts and Beaches resorts have demonstrated exemplary operational consistency and top notch quality standards for MLT Vacations and its Delta Vacations, Continental Airlines Vacations, United Vacations and Worry-Free Vacations.
The MLT Awards recognize an exclusive group of hotels and resorts that achieve a 99 percent score in Customer Satisfaction and Delivery of Product Performance. The nine awards given to Sandals represent the highest number given to any one organization for 2011.
The Sandals properties which were recognized for outstanding service include: Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages and Spa; Sandals Grande Antigua; Sandals Halcyon and Sandals La Toc Golf Resort & Spa in St. Lucia, Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Negril Beach resort, Sandals Whitehouse European Village and Spa and Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort and Private Island in Jamaica.
Twelve additional top awards were last week bestowed on Beaches and Sandals resorts in the Caribbean: six awards from the prestigious Flight Centre USA 2011 GoGo Awards, and six from the highly acclaimed Travel Weekly Magellan Awards.
The Flight Centre Awards USA has recognized Sandals and Beaches resorts in the categories:
•    Best All Inclusive Hotel and Resort Company
•    Best Luxury Hotel
•    Best travel Agency Training programme
•    Best Honeymoon Hotel
•    Best Family Hotel
•    Best Customer Service
Flight Centre USA is one of the world’s leading international travel consulting organizations which also honours industry leaders each year.
Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts have also topped the Caribbean in six categories in the Travel Weekly Magellan Awards for their products and service in Jamaica, Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas. The resorts include:
•    Beaches Turks & Caicos resort Villages and Spa- Gold winner for Family Resort/Hotel
•    Sandals Grande Riviera Beach and Villa Golf Resort- Gold winner for Beach resort/Hotel
•    Sandals Emerald Reef Golf Club-Gold winner, for Gold Course Design
•    Sandals Negril Beach resort and Spa-Silver winner for Eco-Friendly “green” Resort/Hotel
•    Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, The Bahamas-Silver winner for Luxury Hotel
•    Sandals Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, The Bahamas- Silver award winner for Golf resort.
The 2011 Travel Weekly Magellan Awards receive entries from elite travel organizations and professionals worldwide, which have showcased outstanding work ranging from service to marketing and design.
Sandals and Beaches Resorts have consistently topped the major international awards for the hospitality industry. In 2010, Sandals was named the World’s Leading All-Inclusive at the World Travel Awards for the 17th Consecutive year.
