Skinout Wet Fete closes off carnival season

Organizers of the annual event are hoping to bring to the public a safe and enjoyable post carnival event.

Skinout Wet Fete is held in Vieux Fort as the last major concert event to close off the St Lucian carnival season. Skinout is one of the final bacchanal sessions after carnival and is this year is expected to be a blast!

According to organizers the event was started in 2011. That year featured Soca artiste Lil Rick with his smash hit “Go Dung.” In 2012 the event shifted locations to accommodate a larger crowd, it was moved to The Base otherwise referred to as the Caca Bef. That year the sold out event included a mega 40-foot waterslide and swimming pool. The event continues to grow as organizers continue to push the limits to ensure that patrons continue to have a safe and enjoyable time.

In 2013, the event became an official carnival event under the Southern Carnival Committee. 2013 is a year not to be missed as organizers are once again improving the entertainment and event standards by hosting the first ever Bikini Beauty of the South contest. The bikini contest is expected to feature ladies from all over the island.  This year will also be a “glow edition” and patrons will receive free glow accessories and products to light up the night sky.

Organizers say one of their main goals is to create a unique entertainment package and the ultimate feting experience.

“Our goal is to produce a fete every year that leaves you wanting more, where you have a fantastic time. In 2012 we achieved that goal.  We are otherwise referred to as Wet Fete number two, but our sights are set on being Skin-Out, the sexiest fete on the island, where the bacchanal never stops.”
