On Wednesday Marchand and Mabouya booked their place in the semi-finals of the St Lucia Football Association FA Cup. Mabouya defeated Gros Islet 3 -1 and Marchand got the better of Canaries 4-2.
The last two semi-finalists booked their places on Thursday when Vieux Fort South defeated Dennery 4-1. Sheldon Emmanuel had two goals for Vieux Fort South with single markers going to Thurstan Joseph and Jamil Joseph.
Angus Williams scored the lone goal for Dennery.
In the second encounter Soufriere shutout Desruisseaux 2 -0. Goal scorers for Soufriere were Eric Francois and John Regis.
Both the FA Cup and the Under 16 semi-finals take place at the Beausejour Cricket Grounds on Sunday. The first Under 16 semi-final match scheduled for the day will be Castries, going up against Vieux Fort South at 2 pm and the second semi-final will be Soufriere taking on Micoud at 4 pm. The FA Cup semi-finals will see Vieux Fort South against Mabouya at 6 pm followed by Marchand verses Desruisseaux.
The SLFA is asking St Lucians to continue to come out in large numbers to support and patronize matches.
