St Lucia to hold world class fitness courses

Fitness expert Marie Piazza.

Open day at Sportivo fitness club promotes internationally certified fitness courses. And according to owner Marie Piazza “international training standards and continual learning is needed in St Lucia to improve the performance of all who have a responsibility to deliver physical activity.”

Piazza has campaigned for improved standards in the fitness industry for many years, so when she was approached by the Caribactive Fitness Academy she took an interest. Liking what she heard she immediately offered to host the certified courses at her facility.

“Many fitness companies have come and gone,” says Ms Piazza, “but when I spoke to the Caribactive Director I realised we had the same desire to maintain a continual supply of highly recognised fitness courses that will benefit the citizens of the Caribbean and the industry in general”

In an economically challenged world the global fitness industry continues to grow and the Caribactive Fitness Academy courses will offer defined career pathways for those who want to go self employed or who want to be armed with industry leading qualifications. Industry experts believe the industry will continue to grow as physical activity has proven to be a major combat to non communicable diseases such as hypertension, diabetes & obesity
