The PITON FILM FESTIVAL (PFF) which is scheduled to take place in Saint Lucia, September 4 -7th is happy to announce its 2014 film selections. These creative films promise to deliver memorable messages that will educate and entertain. The opening of the Piton Film Festival will be a great opportunity for filmmakers and moviegoers to network and connect. Movie screenings will begin with red carpet interviews at noon followed by movie screenings all scheduled to take place at Caribbean Cinema on Friday, September 5th from 1pm -7pm. Following the screenings, there will be a Piton Film Festival Networking Gala at the Blu Hotel intended to celebrate filmmaking on the island of Saint Lucia. This event is set to begin at 8:30pm on Friday, September 5th.
In addition to red carpet interviews, movie screenings and the networking gala, the Piton Film Festival will hold informative workshops at the Cultural Development Foundation on Saturday, September 6th from 10am – 2pm. The workshops will be led by Executive Producer and Piton Film Festival Co-founder, Emelyn Stuart, Chief Operations Officer at Stuart Films, Carl Gilbert and Darnel Kendal John, President of the newly formed Audio Visual and Film Association (AVFA) in St. Lucia. The workshops will include topics such as: Monetizing Your Film, Taking Your Film Project International, Local Filmmaking Resources, The Business Aspect of Filmmaking and Acting Tips.
The Festival will end with an Award Ceremony on Saturday, September 6th at the Blu Hotel at 7:30pm. During the Award Ceremony the filmmakers whose projects have been selected to screen in New York as part of the popular Ocktober Film Festival will be revealed.
