Stage set for National Championship Road Race

St Lucia Cycling Association will be holding its National Championships road race on Sunday from 8:00 am and should finish by 11:15 am.

The race starts at the waterfront on Government buildings, from there to Ravine Poisson via Millennium Highway, turn and travel to Pigeon Island junction and then back to the waterfront.

Cyclists cover this route twice with a total distance of 114km. The juniors will cover 88km. They will not travel to Pigeon Island Junction on the second lap and will instead end at the waterfront after returning from Ravine Poison.

The Elite category will see the Maraj twins, Fidel Esnard, Fidel Mangal and Winston Williams battle for supremacy.

The battle in the Junior division is expected to come from Calixte Williams and Janick Paul of Excellers as well as Dave Charlery and Linus Williams from Mon Repos.
