Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 28 year old, Jason Jones an English national who was vacationing in Canelles, Micoud. According to reports, on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 about 5:30 p.m. Jones was on a sightseeing expedition along with his girlfriend when he fell into the sea in Canelles, Micoud. Attempts to rescue him were not successful. On Wednesday, February 24, 2016 about 9: 30 a.m. Jones’ lifeless body was discovered on Augier Beach in Vieux Fort. He was transported to the St. Jude Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor. Investigations are continuing into this matter.
