The Saint Lucia National Premiere League continued recently with two matches. The first match was between Veteran Jaguars and Tigers.
Teddy Matthews of Veteran Jaguars could not withstand the charge of Franklyn Noel of the Tigers losing in five games 12-10, 8-11, 11-2, 3-11, 4-11; Dexter Theodore of Veteran Jaguars disposed of Faith Stanislaus of Tigers 11-1, 11-9, 6-11, 11-9.
In doubles action Matthews and Theodore lost in four games to Stanislaus and Noel 11-6, 8-11, 11-13, 8-11. In reverse singles, Matthews dismissed Stanislaus 11-3, 11-5, 11-8 and Theodore lost in a five game nail-biter to Noel 7-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-4, 7-11. Tigers won the match 3-2.
In the other encounter, Carbons lost to the Computer and Business Services Eagles 5-0. Vandyke Jude of Carbons was easily disposed of by Chris Wells of the Computer and Business Services Eagles 1-11, 10-12, 5-11; Wayne Benn of Carbons was no match for Omarie Ferdinand of computer and Business Services Eagles losing 7-11, 7-11, 6-11.
In doubles action, Jude and Benn lost to Wells and Ferdinand 8-11, 6-11, 7-11; In reverse singles Jude took Ferdinand to four games but lost 8-11, 10-12, 16-14, 7-11; and Wayne Benn was demolished by Wells 6-11, 4-11, 8-11.
