Terry and Eustace Bobb, founders of THE ARK BAND, a St. Lucian Reggae Band, thought it only fitting to launch their band and release three new singles off their upcoming album ‘Fire Dub’ in their homeland, St. Lucia.

Terry and Eustace Bobb hail from Marchand, Castries where as youngsters Terry played drums with groups such as the C.Y.O. Harmonites, Tremelos Combo, and others, and on both migrating to Brooklyn, New York in 1976,  Eustace attended the Brooklyn School of Music and graduated as a bass guitarist.  They formed a band in Brooklyn
and played the city and surrounding areas for a few years.

On getting a call from well known St. Lucian Artiste Deighton Charlemagne, they joined him in Ohio to play with his band. After playing with him for one year they formed their own band THE ARK BAND in 1987. The band consists of 6 musicians, three of which are St. Lucian.

The band led by Terry Bobb has done very well for themselves and are continually on tour where they have over the years up to present times, toured every single state in the U.S.A. and also Canada, Jamaica and the Turks & Caicos Islands.

After all these years of touring, producing three albums and embarking on their fourth, they decided to come home and launch their band and music to St. Lucians so that they would hopefully appreciate what the North American audiences have been appreciating   for many years.

They are here in St. Lucia to do their World Premier single releases ‘I Wish’, ‘Rastafari On My Mind’ and ‘Thank You Jah’ from their upcoming Album ‘Fire Dub’ which is to be released later this year. All three single tracks are originals written by members of THE ARK BAND.

The group is known for mainly reggae music but are known to throw in some Soca and Calypso into their performances. THE ARK BAND has opened for and played with many major label reggae bands and artists over the years and they aspire to come back home to perform for St. Lucians in the near future.
