The 2013 United Insurance Under-19 School Cricket Tournament continued on Wednesday.

At the Monchy Playing Field, St Mary’s College completed a comfortable victory over Marigot Secondary in a rain affected game. Batting first, St Mary’s College registered 152 for six in their allotted 20 overs. Kester Charlemagne top scored with 61 and Kevin Arnold added 24.

In reply Marigot were dismissed for 70 in the 16th over with Raphael Henry making 13.

Bowling for St Mary’s College, Kester Charlemagne completed a fine all round performance. He dismissed four for 17 in three overs. Other good bowling performances came from Gilbert Daniel three for 16 in four overs and Quami Joseph three for seven in two overs.

St Mary’s College won the match by 82 runs.? At the Mondoo Phillip Park in another rain affected match, Castries Comprehensive registered a comfortable victory over Gros Islet Secondary.

Bating first, Gros Islet Secondary was bowled out for 72 in 19 overs. Melvin Doxilly 11 and Chris Paul 10 were the only batsmen to reach double figures.

Bowling for Castries Comprehensive, leg spinner Stuart Calderon retired four for 17 in five overs and off spinner Peter Prospere registered three for 11 in four overs.

In reply Castries Comprehensive easily got to their target reaching 73 for three in 16 overs. S Faucher top scored with 32 and Nick Elibox chipped in with 12.

In the final analysis Castries Comprehensive won by seven wickets.
