UWP branch lends a helping hand

For National Day the Castries South-East constituency branch of the United Workers Party (UWP), along with parliamentary representative Guy Joseph, ventured into a self-help road rehabilitation drive in New Belair. Many came out to give full support including Danny Cepal who volunteered the use of his equipment.

While some were resting over the holiday weekend, some members of the UWP Castries South-East branch were hard at work in the community of Belair.

The group also delivered over 200 food parcels to the elderly to help with their Christmas food preparation and the branch started a new initiative of providing the elderly with a hot meal. This, they say, will continue on a monthly basis. “We care about our elders and we want to ensure that they are made comfortable and cared for,” a spokesperson for the group says.
