AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Lead the finance function to support the profitability and overall operational success of the Company by providing the management team and regional team with business and financial information, analysis and insights to drive growth profitably. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Provides Operational Company (OpCo) Leadership 

  • • Provides visible business leadership through contribution to the management team and wider leadership community. 
  • • Engages cross functionally across the OpCo to deliver strategic and operational insights to the business. 
  • • Collaborates with other Management Team members to deliver the business goals through the finance and overall business strategy. 
  • • Partners to implement and develop revenue management growth to ensure balance of volume and superior value growth. 
  • • Leads the organisation’s cost transformation and drives a cost-conscious culture. 
  • • Partners to ensure delivery of Brew a Better World. 

Financial Strategy 

  • • Provides leadership of the Company’s Finance and Accounting strategies, to optimize the Company’s financial performance and strategic position. 
  • • Oversees all accounting functions and facilitates internal and external audits to ensure the accuracy of information reported. 
  • • Ensures that the Company’s financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth. 
  • • Responsible for establishing a framework to objectively evaluate suppliers, products and services, and to ensure that approved purchases are cost efficient and of high quality. 
  • • Provides strong leadership in the end to end preparation of the annual and strategic plans, building scenarios in line with the overall business strategy. 

Financial Management 

  • • Delivers financial reports within local, regional and global governance cycles. 
  • • Manages risks, process and financial controls within the organisation. 
  • • Monitors and provides monthly analysis of operating results vs. budgets. 
  • • Prepares rolling forecasts and guides operations accordingly. 
  • • Monitors capital requirements, purchases and requests against approved capital budgets and business efficiencies. 
  • • Analyses trends and performance to identify risks and opportunities to business performance and overall financial position. 
  • • Is responsible for overall cash management policies and working capital. 
  • • Ensures compliance with business case process to assess and present business cases. 
  • • Prepares Business cases and ensures cost control on projects. 

Internal & External Compliance 

  • • Ensures compliance with Heineken financial policies, local legislation and IFRS. 
  • • Serves as primary legislative liaison relative to company financial issues. 
  • • Ensures tax compliance and timely filing of all corporate financials. 
  • • Provides tax strategies for existing and new business models. 
  • • Is overall responsible for all audits and internal controls procedures and implementation of arising action points. 

Stakeholder Management 

  • • Maintains and manages investor client relationships. 
  • • Works with global treasury to ensure ensures access to capital and lowest possible costs. 
  • • Manages relationships with banks and local insurance providers to ensure required quality of service. 
  • • Establish credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including customers and advisors. 
  • • Presents to the board of Directors. 

People Leadership 

  • • Identifies, develops and coaches talents for succession. 
  • • Ensures Leadership Teams execute the performance management cycle in keeping with established timelines. 
  • • Drives team performance and transparently addresses performance challenges. Empowers others to deliver. 
  • • Champions Inclusion and Diversity, building diverse and inclusive teams and role modelling inclusive leadership. 
  • • Builds capabilities for competitive advantage. 
  • • Role model for Safety Leadership. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • • Accounting Qualification e.g. ACCA, CGA, CPA etc. 
  • • MBA or equivalent would be an asset. 
  • • A minimum of ten (10) years senior financial leadership experience. 
  • • A minimum of five (5) years manufacturing accounting experience. 
  • • Multi-location accounting experience.

  • • Experience with implementing and managing ERP systems (Eg. Exact, SAGE, Oracle, SAP).
