Wanted man slashes his own throat

Oswald Anthony was wanted in connection with an attack on his girlfriend.

Claudia Anthony remains in critical condition at the Victoria Hospital following an April 20 attack. Reports from police are that Anthony was at her mother’s home in Ti Colon when around 3am, her boyfriend, Oswald Tobierre, 42, entered the house.  Tobierre first attacked Anthony’s mother, Adrianna Thomas, with a brick to the head.  Sources say it appears Anthony intervened and Tobierre subsequently stabbed her in the chest with a knife. Tobierre fled the scene.  Anthony was admitted to hospital in critical condition while her mother was treated and discharged.   Police have since been trying to apprehend the Fond Assau resident.  Sources say police investigations led them to Desruisseax around 6:30pm on Saturday April 23.  Police sources indicate upon announcing themselves, Tobierre slashed his throat with a knife.
