WASCO to replace old pipeline responsible for millions of gallons of non-revenue water

The Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) in collaboration with the government of Saint Lucia, has undertaken a major initiative to commence rehabilitation of the pipeline stretching from Choc Bridge to Cap Estate.

We have targeted the most vulnerable areas on this pipeline where it is believed that there is an estimated non-revenue water loss of approximately 2-3 million gallons per day.

In this regard, WASCO has commenced the installation of approximately 300 lengths of ductile iron pipe from the Bonterre Bridge to the Mongiraud, Gros Islet gap to replace the old existing 14-inch pipeline that has served its useful life.

It is estimated that this project will be completed in less than two months. Thus we are requesting the cooperation of the motoring public in the unlikely event of any traffic disruptions during the stated time period.
