Winners TV – St. Lucia’s Sports Network has re-launched “Cover Drive’ a riveting and refreshing LIVE 60 minute television show dedicated exclusively to the lovely game of cricket.
For the third installment, the show is hosted by Deldridge “Logie” Flavien, former Castries cricket and founder of the Matrix Cricket Club, which creates opportunities for former school cricketers to continue playing even after leaving school.
West Indies opener Johnson Charles played for the club early in his career. Flavien has also served as PRO and Vice President of the Central Castries Cricket Association and is currently organizing a veterans cricket league.
“Logie,” as he is more commonly known still considers himself to be a student of the game, and with the assistance of the Ministry of Sports, has been involved in the rehabilitation of cricket pitches at Monchy, Corinth, Belair and Piaye.
Flavien said: “We will continue brining to our local and online viewers the latest cricket news, highlights, league standings, player, coaches and administrator interviews, expert analysis and coaching tips, but the best part of the show is when our viewers call us LIVE with questions for our always credible in-studio guests or myself.”
Past guests include Darren Sammy, Johnson Charles, Gary Mathurin, Dr Ernest Hilaire, and a plethora of cricket personalities. Cover Drive airs every Wednesday night at 8:00 pm on Winners TV, LIME CH 80 and KC CH 55.
