Woman dies after being hit by horse

Police are reporting that an 84-year-old woman has died following an incident at a local beach. Reportedly a 14- year-old boy of Bois Jolie, Dennery, was riding a horse along an unpaved path, adjacent to the Dennery beach, when the horse  came into contact with 84- year- old Theodosia Joseph-Lionel, of Victoria Street, Dennery.  This incident occurred about 1:20pm on Sunday the 27th of February, 2011. Theodosia was taken to the Dennery Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.  Police say a post mortem examination will be performed shortly.
