There was definitely lots to smile about last Sunday February 22 during the annual Independence Day parade at Vigie in Castries. For one, this was the first time that a female in the person of Deputy Police Commissioner Frances Henry (pictured), has been the commander of the parade. And, except for a light shower early on in the day, it was all clear skies when the Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy stepped in to inspect the parade. Alas, we cannot say for sure what exactly had the two smiling pretty. Was the GG sharing something with Henry about being first or offering some tips on decorated headgear or IMPACS…maybe?
