Twenty-seven goals were scored in seven games over the weekend in the 2013 ECFH-LUCELEC Youth Football League which was played at the Sab Sporting Facility.
On Saturday in the Under 13 division, Lancers FC routed Roseau 8-1, behind a hat trick from Kevin Charles. Other contributors for Lancers FC were Daneo Caroo with a brace and goals from Shaquille Emmanuel, Dante Fitz and Deshaun Paul. Edmund scored for Roseau.
A brace from Simmeon Francis and a goal from Naveed Joseph enabled VSADC to edge out Marchand 3-2 in a keenly contested game. Jeani Lesmond and Kimani St Louis were the contributors for Marchand.
In the Under 15 division Marchand got the better of NYAH behind contributions from Cherdam Chewitte and Jason Polius.
FC Pioneers blanked VSADC 1-0. Valley Soccer overpowered Agard FC 7-0 behind six goals from the division’s leading scorer Avian Girard. Jovan Raymond was the other contributor for Valley Soccer.
In the Under 17 division FC Pioneers got past VSADC 3-0, thanks to contributions from Cassius Jones, Antoine Wilfred and Renold Lansiquot. This takes FC Pioneers to the top of the Under 17 table standings.
The tournament continues this coming weekend as the Under 13 and Under 15 divisions round robin phase winds down.
