On the evening of Saturday 19 January 2013, a hunting party in search of wild pigs encountered the decomposing body of a male individual and reported the matter to the Micoud Police. The discovery was made in a wooded area near the Quilesse Forest Reserve located in Micoud.
About 8:06 am on Sunday 20 January 2013, the Officers came across the decomposing body lying near a river bank.
The body was transported to the St Jude’s hospital mortuary.
The deceased who is yet to be identified carried his hair in dread locks.
To date, the police are not in receipt of a missing person report fitting the description of the body discovered.
The deceased fingerprints will be processed through the Automated Identification Fingerprint System for a possible match.
A post mortem will be conducted on the body pending the identification of the individual.
