Saint Lucia set to welcome over 400 Cruise Passengers on Tuesday

(Saint Lucia Tourism Authority)- Over 400 more visitors are set to grace the shores of Saint Lucia come Tuesday, July 13, 2021, when Celebrity Summit and Windstar Breeze will berth at Port Castries and Rodney Bay, respectively.

Tourism Minister Dominic Fedee.

These cruise calls are fresh off the heels of the reintroduction of the sector to Saint Lucia on June 29, and augurs well for continued operations noting that more cruise dependent income earners are set to benefit and that more key tourism sites and attractions including the Gros Piton Nature Trail and Diamond Botanical Gardens have opened to the public as of July 6, giving visitors increased options for adventure.

“More cruise calls in such proximity reflect our resiliency as a people and the ability to navigate successfully through dire circumstances. This is testimony that we remain resolute in our quest to build back the tourism economy, even stronger than before”, said Tourism Minister- Honourable Dominic Fedee.

In ensuring the progressive rebound of the cruise sector, the remaining months of 2021 are projecting strongly, and as such the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) continues to engage with all cruise lines on calls to be realized in the near future.
